We have had over past 45 years several forms of heating, electric/oil/coke hopper and for past 20 years gas. Each and every one was serviced annually - I usually have them done October hoping that leaves us OK for winter. Basically I would be afraid on grounds of safety not to have them done. Relative has Housing Association house gas fired and boiler is serviced annually. |

Our boiler was serviced after a lot of nagging from me, six months after the due date, but the man didnt have the necessary new parts, would be back next week. $ months later am still waiting1 The housing association now tell me ther is no legal obligation to service oil-fired boilers yearly. Dont know how true that is. |
