Dawnie
What a rotten week you're having.
I'm glad your injury wasn't any worse.
I hope you manage to get some sleep with less pain later.

Hoping too that youngsters are soon recovering from their flu and you will all be able to celebrate together.

Dawnie, you are having rotten luck. I do hope the children will be better soon and you can get through the pain of your poor ankle. I mean I know it's a hassle doing Christmas but throwing yourself down the stairs is a bit drastic, love! Have you got some arnica which helps with the pain of a bruise and makes it come out quicker and heal better? Not that cheap but it does help, I would send you my tube but it wouldn't get there till your ankle was better again. Maybe cold compresses to get the swelling down and later a tight bandage to support your ankle so you can get around a bit.
As if you don't have enough pain already!

I have been doing lots of cleaning up to put o.h. in a good mood, and have overdone it, my arthritic knees are sore cos I was on the floor to reach under furniture with the vacuum and then decided to clean out a kitchen cupboard, lower one, and swipe a floor wipe over the vinolay.
O.h. came home with a voucher for £50 from M & S from his company so I whipped that into my purse pdq, my time for a treat I think lol

take care love, things can only get better???!!!

love
Lizxx

p.s.. Can't remember doing you a card so if one doesn't arrive, my apologies, got a bit confused about which ones I had done and which not, so some people may get two and some none lol
The sentiment is there tho.

Liz, you need to keep a notebook with the names & addies of all the people to whom you send cards each year, a separate list for each year so you can tick or cross them off when you have sent the cards. I used to have a book for that years ago, but I dont have one now, so I am a fine one to talk. But at least I remembered the important people, didnt I!

I MUST get organised for next Christmas.

Dawn, I dont know what to say to you, apart from take it easy. My best wishes to you for a speedy recovery for yourself, before the children start racing around and driving you crazy, if they are anything like mine used to be.

Huia.

Morning Dawnie....l bet you had one too many last night because of the shock of cleaning the fridge....lol

Oh Dawnie l do hope the pain eases, take it easy (l know, you can't do anything else), good thing you have the OH there. Hope the kids get better soon too. Phone the help line and ask if there is anything else you can take. Has it been suggested to use hot and cold compresses??

Thinking of you.

Dawnie - you are in the wars but if you do this I promise it will help. It will bring out the bruising and ease pain. Soak a bandage/ tea towel in brown vinegar and wrap round foot - repeat at regular intervals.

Was visitng physio few years ago with bad back. I walked in and she saw my black all over foot. Have to work on that she yelled and could not get over it when she examined foot and no pain. Told her of cure and she would not believe it but as she said proff was in front of her. Please try it.

Poor you. I hope the pain eases soon. Just what you didn't need with 2 poorly children to nurse. Pleased to hear Nath is getting better and hope Zoe bounces back up soon.

Apparently youngest Grandson here had swine flu a couple of weeks ago, he stayed in bed for 3 days and didn't eat. Then he immediately bounced back up (he is 18.) It is a nasty bug.

You got to laugh havent you otherwise would cry.
Fun going to loo crawling up stairs to clean teeth and get changed. although PJ bottom are staying on.

The good news is and BC you would be proud of me for this at the time I was carrying a wrapped bottle of wine that Lissy had given me from her boyfriends parents and I didnt smash it wouldnt look goodsuckingitup off floor with a straw would it.

Jude yes cold compresses on it as well.

Huia mine are very quiet as two of them have flu so no excitement although youngest did ask how I was going to get the presents sorted for her stocking tomorrow night with a bad foot.

Ann wish Nath would just perk back up hes day 8 now and hasmanaged to get dressed today but is still sniffing away and no energy and not wanting to eat. Zoe asleep on sofa and aching all over and bad cough.
Got 2 in local hospital and 6 in Coventry hospital with Swine flu. Can tell its not just a cold totally different .

Dawn, do you wear bifocals? I do and do not find them any good for going down stairs. I have had a couple of falls down ours going to the basement garage. I have now found that if I go down backwards it is much safer. I hope you have a handrail to hold on to.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery to you and the children.
