You can change your name by going into MY ACCOUNT at the top of the page

Just let people know on the board when you have done it, as it stops confusion x

I don't seem to have any problem with Vista and windows 7, as we have two computer, desk top with vista and laptop windows 7. I can bring up as many windows as i want on either of them and have trees side by side and plus another in a drop down and pop it back up when i need it.

Sorry for my delay answering your post and to be honest, I completely forgot about my Windows 7 question on the CHAT 'Help Clinic' which was pretty rude of me. Regrettably my memory gets worse as I get older (b Sep 1938).
Much like Annie, I'm still very wary about Windows 7.
I have another problem so I'm off to Chesterfield tomorrow whilst my warranty still exists still so I aim to buy the "Idiots guide to Windows 7" whilst I'm there; it cant do any harm to have it.
I'll try your multiple windows link early next week, once my other "jobs in hand" are sorted.

ps Whenever I put something on chat etc, why cant I change my name from Ronald to something more appropriate to me?

I think Ron means he used to cascade windows so two windows showed on the screen side by side ???

I may be wrong :o))

Maybe google cascade windows in win 7 & see what results you get

When I had Windows VISTA I seemed to have had no problem getting 2 or 3 trees on line at the same time. Having them on, I didn't need to write things down specially when I opened my tree to others. I could see theirs and mine at the touch of a button, but now I have Windows 7, I don't have the advantage of a quick transfering to 2 or 3 trees". A friend has just advised me to get "An idiots guide to Windows 7". Think it might work??? I'm not sure it will help and thus would be a waste of money.

I treated myself to a new laptop and having got used to obtaining 2 and sometimes 3 family trees on it. It was so easy when I wanted to check details of my brothers tree against mine by the simple click and it brought me back to exactly where I was, sometimes seconds before and sometimes minutes before. I dont quite understand how I do the same with Windows 7. Can anyone HHHHHHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLPPPPPP me please? Ron
