l have had 22 viruses in the last week!!!! and twice a trojan has tried to get on my pc but my security has stopped them, in the last 2 days!!...phewww

l know where l got the viruses, that was on a website, the security warning that came up was a hoax and when l clicked on "remove all" it took me to an American Security site which l had to pay for......I DID'NT OF COURSE!!!

My browser had been taken over too and the little google browser on the right became Gala!!!

Please don't download anything that says you have to pay for it especially in this situation, apparently the site will be very difficult to get rid of!!

Fortunately my pc man was here for dinner today and sorted the recent trojan warning, and he also sorted the 22 viruses earlier:o))))

Two or three times last night and now today, my AVG protector which has Surf Shield has warned me about problems with pages on here.

A few mins ago I clicked on Trying to Find and my virus protector has dealt with a Malware attack.

I'm glad I do my best to keep my virus protection up to date. A reminder to anyone who is a bit lax on that to make sure they are up to date.

I posted again about ten mins ago as I'd had a warning on this very page. It was a Blackhole Exploit I think. I tried to put the info on here but the page wouldn't come up after I'd submitted and it's taken me this long to get the internet back.

I'm certain that the site is running slow too.

Britons caught out by booby-trapped web ads

Tens of thousands of people could have been caught out by cyber criminals who put booby-trapped adverts on popular web pages.

Firefox seems less susceptible to attacks than IE, especially if you have Ad-block Plus installed to prevent adverts loading in the first place.

A friend has got caught out and cannot get onto the internet, even in Safe Mode, to download Malwarebytes or another cleaner, despite having antivirus installed: that's disabled.
