Before I start thanks everyone for all the info you have shown me already wished Id have joined here years ago lol.

Now this is the bit that got me all of a dither about John Troop
1911

TROOP, John Head Married
6 years M 35 1876 Planer In Steel Wks Lincolnshire Gainsborough VIEW
TROOP, Florence Wife Married F 31 1880 Suffolk Ipswich VIEW
TROOP, Doris Daughter F 5 1906 Yorkshire Rotherham VIEW
TROOP, Elsie Daughter F 2 1909 Yorkshire Rotherham VIEW

Now I cant find any marriage in 1905 because he says hes been married 6 years in 1911 so that would have meant he married Florence in 1905, The only marriage I can find for then is JOHN WILLIAM TROOP and he got married in Farnham.

The Florence on the 1911 was born in Suffolk?? but on the 1901 census it says Liverpool...Could it just be a coincidence that on the 1901 census there is a john and a Florence?
Also when I found her mariage to Andrew Sloan she was 33 isnt that a bit old for a first marriage??

As John was suppose to have died in 1906 in the earthquake him saying he has been married since 1905 would make a bit of sense or am I just clutching at straws??

Shirley if he did then he didnt bother to divorce his first wife lol. The story his daughter told her family and up to a few years ago we had no reason to doubt it was....Her dad was sent to America to work? and just his luck he was in San Fransisco in 1906 when the earthquake struck !

His 1st wife Annie died just after the 1911 census was taken and said she was married now if he had died surely she would have classed herself as a widow? His daughter was only 11 when she died and lived with her grand parents who for reasons they only knew put her in an orphange and when she was a bit older she went into service.

As for Florence she said on the 1901 census she was born in Liverpool...but on the 1911 census she puts her birthplace as a totally different place and John Troop is 2 years older lol..And heres me thinking they were all God fearing folks in those days lol.

Thanks to Linda and Shirley for the help will let you know what I find
