might sound cliched, but son and I really enjoyed the ferry lol...it is a great way of seeing old and new side by side, the commentary was good and gave lots of bits of history i knew nothing about, and walking alongside the river afterwards there are a lot of interesting 'historical' features.

Hope you enjoy it :)

The Albert Dock is lovely, also Liverpool One lots of shops, Bars and Restaurants, Matthew Street. You would need a few days to visit, as there is quite a lot of History to Liverpool, depending on what you like. Theres something for everyone, but then i would say that, because i live here, Hope you enjoy your visit!!!

I envy you, I still want to go back and explore more, both Liverpool and the area around it, after my weekend visit in 2009 I am sure the wonderful weather at the time helped make it more special but my highlight was visiting the Anglican Cathedral as I had just found out my GreatGrandfather and Great Uncle worked on it as stone masons. So emotional to go inside such a fabulous building and know my ancestors had a part in making it so beautiful.

Loved Albert Dock and the whole feel of the city.
Enjoy your time there.
