Books read
311 Pelican Court by Debbie Macomber. set in Cedar Cove. Rosie & Zach, Judge Olivia and Jack, MaryEllen and Jon, Grace widow of Dan and a mysterious man who died at the B&B.

The holiday Erica James, Set Corfu. Izzy Jordan, Theo, Mark a writer, Laura and Max.

Wild mountain Thyme by Rosamunde Pilcher Set mainly in Scotland, Victoria, Oliver who kidnaps his son from his dead wife's parents. John and Roddie

'The Girl in the Painted Caravan' by Eva Petulengro. It tells the story of her life growing up in a Romany childhood

The Wise Child Jessica Stirling Craig & Kirsty Nicholson. Set Scotland one of a series

Mennonite in a little black dress by Rhoda Janzen. A memoir of a Mennonite childhood and how Rhoda lived outside the faith, subsequently returning.

The day of the storm Rosamund Pilcher Rebecca, mother dies, goes to Cornwall to meet relatives in Porthkerris.

Harvest by Tess Gerritsen Dr Abby DiMatteo, joins transplant team, uncovers organ harvesting, buying illegally.

Bloodstream Tess Gerritson Dr Claire Elliot, son Noah, Maine,teenage violence.

Down to Earth by Melanie Rose
About a young woman who does a parachute jump for charity. She is the last one to jump, she gets swept up in a hurricane type wind and when she lands everything has changed. It is 6 years later. She has no idea where she has been and is a reported missing person. An intriguing story.

Coming home by Melanie Rose. Snow, car goes into river. 'Kate' lost memory undergoes hypnosis and remembers Kitty. Adam and Vincent, Tara and Jadie with Cystic Fibrosis

Without sin by Margaret Dickinson Meg, her mum and brother Bobbie put in workhouse after her father has affair with employers daughter. Meg meets Jake, leaves workhouse to work for a tailor, marries him. Mother dies, Jake marries Betsy from the workhouse.

It must be magic by Melanie Rose Lightening strike hits two people, one dies one doesn't but has split personality inhabiting both bodies. Grant, husband Dan, boyfriend, 4 children Toby, Teddy, Sophie and Natalie.

Orphans of war Leah Fleming. Maddy orphaned brought up by aunt at Brooklyn, where evacuees are billetted, meets Greg, Gloria etc.

Presumed guilty Tess Gerritsen.Miranda Wood, affair with boss Richard, ends it, he is found stabbed in her bed. Chase Richard's brother. Set Maine.

Vanish by Tess Gerritsen. Russian girls brought into USA as slave prostitutes. Jane Rizzoli pregnant, Maura Isles, corpse opens her eyes.

The Gift Cecilia Ahern A sort of adult fairy tale with a moral. Lou who is obsessed with work and neglects his family is taught a lesson by Gabe a 'dosser' who Lou befriends. The lesson that time is more precious than gold, it can't be given but it can be shared.

Stolen by Tess Gerritsen Valuable art insurance scam, Clea Rice, cargo ship sunk, Jordan Tavistock.

War Widows Leah Fleming

Call after midnight by Tess Gerritson Simon Dance Now Geoffrey Fontaine, is he dead? 2 wives, Eva and Sarah CIA etc.

The Summer Psychic by Jessica Adams Psychic sees predictions in containers of water – bucket, glass etc. Katie a journalist is sent to interview Jim Gabriel and also gets involved with Pete, a musician.

The bone garden by Tess Gerritsen A skull dug up in a garden by Julia. who was she and how did she die?, a flash back to the 19century, Norris Marshall medical student forced to procure corpses for anatomy. A serial killer, Rose Connolly looks after her dead sister's child Margaret who is hunted by 'somebody'

Whistle blower by Tess Gerritsen. Victor Holland, Catherine Weaver germ warfare.

Forget me not by Isabel Wolff. Anna garden designer, baby Milly, Xan Milly's father wants nothing to do with her until3 years later. Patrick Anna's boyfriend, Jamie her partner in garden design.

The profusion of Tess Gerritson books is because there was a pile there in situ wating to be read!

Have copied them... I have a few Gerritsen's waiting for me to read..

Although I wouldn't go and buy them because it is not the genre that I normally read, I do find her books well written and gripping and perfect holiday reading. I can't think I have many more of hers to read now.
