Having great fun scanning old photo's....like 1882 onwards.
l have bought a digital photo album, and l'm downloading photo's to go in it. At first it was going to be family, as in when our children were babes, maybe our wedding photo's and then the grandchildren etc....but have found so many oldies that it is going to be just for them....upto aprox when l met Vic...see how many pages it takes up, but then l can add pages as l go:)

It's so interesting Jude when you can put the really old ones in. I have my great grandma and grandad in pride of place in one album, it's so lovely to be able to look at them and their clothes and hairstyles. I only remember her when she was old, 80ish, but this photo is when she is a young woman.

Aw that's a lovely photo. I always take my camera about with me. There's something coming up where I have to definately take my camera, so looking forward to it, just a select few close pals.

Does anyone know of a way to find out how to identify photo's.....l have the name of photographer and number of the photo,also his address.Have looked him up but nuffin there:(

There are ways of identifying roughly the year by looking at the clothes Jude, but if you can't trace the photographer, and loads will have closed, I doubt if you can identify the actual person. Isn't it frustrating? Many of my photos are named because my dad was quite good at that, but some only have a first name and a few have no names.

Sister bringing her old albums over today.
So pleased l kept emails from a chap l used to have contact with from New York, he's a Meninsky/Menushken and he sent photo's:))))))
