Afternoon All
As neither of us are particularly Turkey fans, we, hopefully will be having Goose, for a change.
All my Christmas veggies and other courses are already made and in the freezer.
I saw that ad. for Lidl, and the very thought of eating any of those meats, with the exception of venison and liver, revolted my stomach. But, I suppose, it is" each to their own".

Venison if not overcooked is lovely. we'll be having turkey with all the trimmings. mmmm.
I recall going to a restaurant for an xmas dinner with the ladies from keep-fit a couple of years ago, many of us had venison, with a juniper jus, it was to die for, the following year we went to the same place, ordered the venison again, it was like eating shoe leather, so tough (overcooked) couldn't eat it, one of the ladies pushed her fork into a sprout and it bounced across the table and landed on the floor, which made us laugh, but the chef had the cheek to expect a tip, he almost got one in writing from me (how to cook sprouts)!! :-| :-)
