Might cost a bit to police though as they would have to first arrest the person who was over the limit, then wait until they produced evidence, then make sure their arrest was cancelled or whatever. Don't know how they would do all that.

Well surely - proof of this would be easy as producing medication/prescription/drs note should suffice.

i nver get to take advantage of the wine offeres as i only ever buy 1 bottle at a time and never pay more than £4 for a bottle lol,

as for drink driving thy cant have a zero limit as some medication, would show small levels of alcohol, so people who hadnt drank but took certain meds, could be up at court when they hadnt touched a drop,

Same here Ann. Family members decide who's driving home and that person doesn't drink other than one glass of wine with lunch.

Our wine will be drunk at home and nobody will drive after drinking it.

Our local supermarket has a 30% off bottles of wine if you buy 6 bottles or more. We took advantage of that and ended up getting a box of beer for Christmas free due to the discount.

As for smoking - my sister in law is dying in palliative care of lung cancer. She has been a heavy smoker for much of her life and has had heart problems and now this. Her husband has moderate emphysema - also a heavy smoker.

Ever since these discussions years ago began I have argued that a person may smoke 10 cigarettes and drive safely - try that with 10 drinks.

Drink driving limit - it should be zero.

As to lung cancer I know at least 5 who have died from this disease who neither smoked nor drank in their lives. However we are surrounded by the pollution emitting from transport.

The wine I have purchased will probably last until next Christmas in this house.

proves my point that government has double standards re cigarettes and alcohol!!

also the "Don't drink and Drive" adverts are about to hit our screens for the Christmas period!!

From today until Tuesday a case (six bottles) for half price at Txxco. Must be bought on line and delivery £5.

Big savings. Can use your store vouchers. Just ordered 2 cases - price would be £138 - with reductions and my vouchers comes to £32 - think I can afford that!
