Great start to 2012

My gt grandson was born at 11.55 a.m. on 1 Jan (in NZ, that is 10.55 p.m. in England, Wales, Scotland pm 31 Dec). He arrived by caesarean, presumably as his mum had been in labour for a long time. He wasnt due for another week, but weighed 6 lb 14. I am glad he didnt try to butt in on my birthday which I already share with my son and niece on the 11th, although I wouldnt have minded if he had arrived on the 4th which is my husband's birthday. |

Huia, congratulations and best wishes to all on the safe arrival of your little greatgrandson. I had wondered if you would get a birthday gift on the day but nicer for him to have his own special day altho a little close to Christmas. He is a good weight. I hope his Mum will recover well from the fatigue and the op and they will all live happily ever after. You must be pleased and relieved that all is well and he is safely here. |

I must get out my shawl and knitting and sit in the rocking chair. No, it is too hot and humid for a shawl and I dont think my arthritic hands would take too kindly to knitting, and I cant play on my computer if I am sitting in the rocking chair. |
