That when you paint the door frames in a room it immediately shows up that the next room needs doing too?

Wouldn't it be lovely if we could afford to go on holiday and pay a decorator to do it all for us?

I also stripped(by hand) all my thirties doors, skirtings and the whole staircase, but there are still some things to be painted. I discovered water based gloss and it is a godsend,no nasty smell and it dries in under an hour.

I admit that it isn't as shiny as oil based, but who cares, anything for an easier life, ;-) ;-) ;-)

I had a burst of enthusiasm during the summer months and painted all my flat...except I ran out of paint and energy half way up the stairs and so it remains :-D

A two tone effect then BC, meant to be like that of course.

Well lounge and dining room are finished and gradually getting all the bits and pieces back. It does look nice and fresh, even though all except the fireplace wall are near enough the same colour as before. Next step is to buy a new light fitting for the dining room. :-)

Just knock a few chips of paint off and call it 'shabby chic' ;-)

I have to agree but with a 12' x 30' home and only 1 internal door I don't have that problem often :-)
