This is the most expensive way to search, ask on the Find ancestors board first for a look up.

If you do find a record remember to save it to your computer or you may need to pay again to look again

Ah I see Ann, I have just had the email ;-)

"We have just released previously restricted information giving you details of your family‘s health at the time the census was taken.
From the bald and toothless, to the bad mouthed and long tongued, what did your ancestors record about themselves and their family? "

,,, does it really list whether my ancestor was "bald and toothless"..... ?!!

I have just received that Email too Ann,but I'm more interested in scanning through the newspaper library.

I used to use Collindale until they closed and,for me,news stories could bring me more theatre notices and hopefully snippets from play bills etc.

Wouldn't be too concerned if ancestors were bald or toothless Rose lol (excepting that my g/gg/gggrandfathers were all dentists) :-D

How many credits to see the information ?

Rambling

Rambling Report 23 Jan 2012 20:05

Uzzi

"With 100 credits you can view TEN 1911 household transcriptions or THREE original 1911 census records, including the Infirmity column! "

"With 100 credits, you can view TWENTY pages of old news! What will you discover through the British Newspaper Archive? "

Just seen this,Ann,here in Oz I got the message.
Haven't most of us seen our info on the 1911 when it came out early?
If they had put this offer out when it was quite new,I'm sure they would have had a lot of takers.

BETTER MAKE SURE YOU GOT THE RIGHT FAMILY FOR 1911
AT 10 A COUPLE OF MISTAKES SOON USED THEM UP

I don't think I am going to do it but I wondered if it was value for money. I have most of the information I am likely to get on there anyway as I only gave up my ancestry membership in December. Thanks for your thoughts though.

Personally, I cant understand anyone using any of the search facilities on here as opposed to Ancestry or FMP. Seems to me to be totally false economy.
