....well in all fairness, peanuts (that are the greatest cause of 'nut' allergy) aren't actually nuts - they're in the 'legume' family!!!!!

.......makes you wonder where we stand...........

Tesco's make a lot of mistakes - how about the recent one in our local - biscuits £1 a packet, buy two for £2:00!!!

There are a lot of things like that, but darn me, I cant think of one! We avoid anything with sugar in, and the number of odd things that contain sugar is amazing.

I would take it in to tesco and show them, it could actually be misleading. Well Ia ssume chestnuts are actually classed as nuts???

And the thing is, was it nice?

The other week, I decided we would have cabbage for dinner one night, when the OH told me that during my absence, he had bought some frozen cabbage from T***o. I think he fancied it then couldn't be bothered.
I got it out the freezer and was intrigued, immediately.
It was called Creamed Savoy Cabbage With Chestnuts. When I read the back of the packet, I had to laugh to myself. This is what it said.
ALLERGY ADVICE,
Contains Celery
RECIPE, No Nuts.
INGREDIENTS, Cannot guaranantee nut free
FACTORY, No nuts.

Well, what are Chestnuts, if they are not nuts. The mind boggles.
