Had one for about 15yrs now, had a couple of electric parts replaced but other than that no problems with it. Been kept out in the garage until about 3 months ago when I brought it indoors. |

I've got one, it works quite well, It's in the spare room, I open the window when in use and you have to empty the water bottle a few times. OH cleans the condenser a couple of times a year. Haven't got anywhere to put a vented one |

I have one and the trick is to keep the water container empty and clean the main filter every week. Not the fluff filter, the main one through which the water particles are drawn. |

Have to agree, I dont think they dry as well as the old fashioned vented ones, but think they are more econmical, so they may take longer to dry, but probably use less electricity. |

Condensing one we had overheated, and packed up, mind you it was second hand, we were given it by friends who said it played up every now and then that was many years ago. |

You can get a adapter for them so you don't have to empty the water tray/bottle as long as there is a drain near it. |
