My wonderful Son in Law

Changed jobs last September.
He used to be head chef at the Hotel du Vin in Winchester, but took another job at Audleys Wood, just outside Basingstoke, because it wanted to open a gastronomic restaurant (alongside the 'ordinary'one), and he wanted to be a part of this.
In 5 months, he has earned this hotel 2 rosettes, with chances of another!!
He's only 27 years old.

..now i've told you that, I can't tell you about the hysteria he caused me by mishearing what me and my daughter were talking about on the phone......

Well, as none of you live near said hotel,I'll let slip.
Mind you, you may not find it as funny as me.

I phoned my daughter and was talking about the impending snow, and the difficulty I may have getting to work.
Daughter pointed out I now have crampons, at which point I heard my SiL (sat next to daughter) go 'Euurgh - how would that help?
Daughter turned to SiL and said 'CRAMPONS' not 'GRAMPONS' - they're nothing to do with Tampons for the elderly!!!!

Aww - bless him :-)

We actually had an Hotel du Vin not too far from us (about 8 km) but it was sold 3 or 4 yrs ago and is no longer an hotel. I never visited it, much too posh for the loikes of me.
