Sooo the rugby was cancelled. And we watched an hour of country and western. Billie Jo Spears, Dolly Parton, Glen Campbell, Crystal Gayle, Emmie Lou Harris, Don McClean, Tammy Wynette and oh loads more. A really good programme. Why can't they put these on normally? Then we watched a really interesting programme about Pompeii. |

Why O WHY did the French leave it til the players were literially (sp) walking out onto the field, then decided that the pitch was too frozen, after the warm up.It is only susposed to be posponed til at first the 2nd March now have not decided when it will be played. |

Well I guess Country and Western is not everyone's cup of tea but the stars were singing back in the 70s and theyw ere mostly very young and lovely. We used to have a lot of the records, OH's favourites were Emmy Lou Harris and Crystal Gayle and Dolly Parton was really pretty when young. |

So pleased the rugby was cancelled, as for once there was something interesting to watch on a Saturday. Another, football on the other side. |

Yes, Saturdays are usually pretty dire if you don't like dancing on Ice with wanna be stars in an A&E department or whatever. |

Erm Dancing on ice is Sundays. We actually like that but Saturdays at the moment are awful so last night was a welcome change. We thought Pompeii was excellent too. |

:-D :-D Each to his/her own. We watch them, well strictly and dancing on ice, even x factor and BGT sometimes. It is something to watch together. Normally we watch different things. Him upstairs and me down but Saturdays and Sundays we watch together. It gas become a ritual. Usually we have something recorded. Sundays we also watch Countryfile. |

Ann, love countryfile, have watched it for many years now. At least that is a regular programme for a Sunday. I particularly like the Adams Farm bit, pity they couldnt give it a bit longer slot. :-) |

That rugby cancellation was brilliant. That was the best Saturday TV I've watched for ages. |
