designed to get people to give money
the worst type of scams in my mind
playing on good people to rip them off

I get these but i keep them on as long as possible and then act dumb whilst they try to explain what to do, they get fed up with dumb old me and hang up, Passes the time and amuses me ;-)

Just a note ref Joy's post,
When some one rings you on the land line just say, Sorry can i ring you back i cannot talk at the moment because i am driving

Then see how they respond :-D

i take the pee out of them all
i say i only accept calls from british call centres
oh and that holiday we have won every week
i say if its so good you go mate
somebody rang about changing my land line
i said i haven got a phone and they said sorry
(what did they think i was talking to them on)
loan company i let them fill it all in over the phone
then drop in i only have weeks to live
so how quick can they get it to me the
line always goes dead at this point lol
if its a fuel company and they ask for my hubby
i say he cant come to the phone because
he is in jail for raming the phone down cold callers throats lol

thats been round for ages and someone I know in their lateish 60s got duped on this scam ......they had to change bank details and phone and go exdir,,,,,plus they got a new laptop into the bargain as precaution of hacking.....

they took-----£66 ,not a fortune but a damed theft all the same.

they want a Saudi punishment--chopped off fingers, :-| :-| :-|

I've done that Ann. I've also picked up the phone and not answered.

He said it was about windows.Hubby thinks he would have asked me to sign into a site where they could have got into my laptop.I am not a rude person but working on it lol

I like asking them to hang on a minute - then disappear for a while and check to see if they've gone - they're paying for the call after all!!!

This scam has reached Australia too. When I said the person was ringing from overseas he denied it although my caller ID showed it was an overseas call. He said he was ringing from Central Sydney - nobody calls it that. He also couldn't remember the name of the street the business is on and the phone he gave me was not a number.

Lol Joy.Dont know about you but so fed up with all these call centres and scam calls.They are the only ones that ring me on the landline.

i get this every week so i tell them
the police have issued a warning about their company on tv
and as they ring me every week
the police are montering this call they soon hang up in a panic

Took a phone call this afternoon for a company doing a survey?Told me i have errors on my computer.When i said i did not have a computer he said its your laptop.Said i had red and yellow errors.Told him i did not have a laptop and he hung up.Did the redial and no number.Please all be careful.
