In our kitchen we have a refrigerator. Upon it there are a few fridge magnets. We also have a table upon which is God knows what, including some fruit bushes waiting to be planted, a couple of hanging baskets waiting to be planted, empty luhch boxes and assorted other junk.

The magnet fell out of the cat flap. So where does Captain Sensible put the magnet for safe keeping until we can get a tube of superglue?

Answers on a postcard please to...............

The obvious answer would be on the fridge....but I'm guessing you're meaning he's put it in a safe place.

Now when I put things in a safe place....I never see them again. :-D

I have a house full of items I have put away for safe keeping - never to be found again!!!!

When we moved here 13 years ago, I knew we would not need our passports for a few years (lack of funds!) so I put them away safely. I have yet to find them, even though they are long out of date. :-S

Most likely on the table where there“s a good chance it will go in the rubbish next time you "muck out" the table....as we have to do when we have visitors.
Alternatively, on top of the fridge where it will get knocked off & disappear into the great blue yonder.

Do you actually know where it is Sharron so you're seeing who is best at lateral thinking or have you no clue and need out of the box ideas?

On the table.

How easy and logical it would have been to stick it on the fridge.

Actually, I have now mended the cat flap.

Would you all like to come to my place and find the many things I have put in a 'safe' place? It will be like searching for a needle in a haystack as I have so much 'junk' that I want/need to get rid of.

One (well two) of the things I havent found are the 2 cheque books that I hid before going to the Chatham Islands. I knew I wouldnt need them over there so I hid them safely away in case I was burgled. At least I have managed financially with the aid of my eftpos card. But it bugs me that I cant remember all these 'safe' places.

Huia.
