Sharron

Sharron Report 11 Apr 2012 08:41

Tomorrow I am having my eyes tested and so is my dad.

This means he will be having to catch the service bus into town for the first time since the ignorant bus driver wouldn't help in any way, watching him nearly fall out of his chair and lose the cushion before tellinghim there was a ramp available.

He could have a disabled taxi but it costs £30 and the bus is free to him, that swung his decision!

Apparently he will be coming straight back home afterwards.Yeh right.
Does he forget there is a Poundland and that Wetherspoons do a meal deal?
I don't think I could cope with his social diary! He is out shopping in the next village on the bus today, dung carting yesterday.

He's a wild one Sharron - you're going to have to watch him :-0

I'll be able to see him better when I have had my eyes tested.

Having that git of a bus driver knocked his confidence for using the service bus.I am hoping this trip will be hassle free so he has the confidence to go out more on the bus.

Then, of course,I will have no idea where he is.

I do hope that you complained to the bus company and suggested they educate their drivers better Sharron. I have often seen our drivers leave their cab to put the ramp down, doesn't take a minute either.

I think ,up here in Tyneside ,he would have had a lot of stick off other punters for the lousy behavior ,or even been threatened with a duffing up,certainly he would be disiplined ,or sacked by the company for whom he is a driver.
Dung carting is an honorable profession by the way ,lol,i could do with some for the garden he he Fred. :-D

Unfortunately I wasn't there when it happened.

Now,Fred, do you live within walking distance with a wheelbarrow of me?
I am on the Sussex coast, you are in Tyneside.

The wheelchair does about fifteen miles to a charge so I expect the dung would be well rotted by the time they actually reached you but how much would you like?

Don.t mention the word to the wife ,lol, years ago i took the wife and kids down to the sisters smallholding with me van ,on holiday, filled up half the van with the stuff to bring home ,he he ,the roses loved it ,but the wife wouldn't go shopping for a month ,until i got rid of that luvvvveryy aroma.
I creased up when i read the bit about carting the muck in a wheelchair ,but it wasn't funny for you though.
Better keep a closer eye on him as suggested.Fred :-)

They go off in convoy every Tuesday,my dad and his mate. This is because a woman saw them harvesting along the road and suggested they have some of the evergrowing pile her horse provides.

Dad's mate always has an eye out for horse dung along the road,Sometimes he points some out to me when we are in the car,in the hope that I will stop for him to pick it up.

Fine but I drive a Smart. How lovely it would beto share a space that size with a bag of fresh horses.

Sharron
I hope you and your dad had a successful visit to the optician and that Dad mastered the buses OK.

He was lucky if he got his collecting done in between the showers this week.

There is a Mr Happy downstairs tonight I think.

We each had our eye-tests.I parted with £400 odd.

He had sausage and mash in Wetherspoons, and a half of bitter.

The glasses are ready in a couple of weeks so he will be dining in Wetherspoons again.

The bus is free and a taxi is £30, it is also just somebody going into town on the bus rather than a disabled peson being taken somewhere.
Wouldn't want him to know he's disabled! He will think he needs looking after!

Glad it went well, even if it was costly !

Your Dad will be looking for more reasons to visit town if he gets a Wetherspoons meal

If we all had half his spirit when we are his age, we'll be doing OK.
