Island

Island Report 20 Apr 2012 13:53

I was outside just now taking a photo of the rain when there was a sudden flash of lightning and a very loud snap of thunder :-0 :-0

Ah'm a bag of nerves, Ah say Ah fair jumped out of my pants :-0

I must have stepped back into the door handle in my haste as I have a pain in my back.

Is anyone else having random thunder and lightning?
I knew I should have done the shopping this morning :-| :-|

Gwyn in Kent

Gwyn in Kent Report 20 Apr 2012 14:27

First day in ages that we haven't seen rain. Ever since we were declared a drought region, it's hardly stopped.
At the moment the sky is really blue and the sun is shining brightly.

Gwyn.... near the Channel coast.

Island Report 20 Apr 2012 19:00

BC, are you sure those hailstones weren't jettisoned 'ballast' from a passing airyplane? :-0 :-0 :-D

Sue in Leeds...........is 'scorched' a colour? :-D

Jude, I'm fine thanks :-) I'm not usually bothered by thunder and lightning except when it takes me by surprise and that was one helluva crack! :-0

I heard some more rumbles about an hour ago but not sure if it was thunder or a supermarket delivery van as I was cooking up a storm of my own and had the extractor fan on :-D
It's quite nice now with a drop of evening sunshine :-D
