Traditional English ones or the larger, more invasive, Spanish blue bells? Both look nice - the difference would not be noticed unless you had a trained eye, but the purists don't like the invasion.

Happy days

I would hope the English ones, they look so much better.

As for the difference's http://www.whra.org.uk/bluebells.htm

Wait a few more weeks until the edges of the woods become alive with Cowslip and the carpet will turn yellow ,yep ,the countryside is beutiful at this time of year with loads of different plants, even the toadstool can be breath taking with all their different colours :-)

Bluebells are so beautiful to look at and the woodsmen hate them!

The old pale makers and bodgers couldn't work near them at all, the smell is so overpowering. You know how a bowl of hyacinth in a room can give you a headache? Well, a big carpet of bluebells is like that on a grand scale, especially on a still day.

There seems to be a lot of blossom this year too.

Sharron, who told you that?

My old pale maker took me out to see them in the chestnut wood they coppiced last year. (Have put up photo)

Yes they have a strong perfume, but the reason they are not keen to work in Bluebells is that they are very slippery when crushed, not good when using saws!

The wild daffodils in the woods are beautiful, but I personally prefer the sight of the blue carpet of bluebells.

One of the woods has a large quantity of foxgloves, but we will have to wait a couple of months before we can admire their blooms.
