Not having had the traditional wedding I'm not the best person to reply really.......but do they take that long to get sorted?? I bought mine off the peg so I'm genuinely clueless.......12 wks or so sounds reasonable to me? x

Having been the MotB, I'd be worrying as well!

We were told that if one was ordered less than 3 months before the Day, there would be an extra charge. Since Daughter is on the (ahem) large side, it was a nightmare to find a style that was slightly more falttering than the usual styles. And yes, we did end up having to pay extra, but in mitigation, they only decided to marry 3 months before they did.

Most Bridal shops only have samples and have to order in from the manufacturers...and then there are at least 2 fittings. It all takes time!

But once the day comes, all the worry will be behind you. Enjoy!

My daughter is getting married this Saturday and we have had the dress a year, it was the 2nd one she tried on. I cried when I saw her in it, so it had to be the one. Was worried a few weeks back when she said hope I still like it.

Just praying for nice weather.

My daughter had chosen the one we agreed on and we bought the dress about 7 months prior and it was adjusted a month prior to the day. The bridesmaids, flower girl and page boys outfits were purchased well before hand.

She was so organised it was such a relief...lolol

TBH I wasn't worried at all, however I am sure if son and other daughter decide to marry there will be mayhem and we might just pay them to elope..lol

Now chill out, it will all come together.

I guess if she walks down the aisle in Jeans and a T shirt it ouldnt really matter. If she isn't panicing, why are you? She'll find it!

How long til the dress arrives Suzanne? May be worth quietly looking up the details of a dressmaker and making discreet inquiries just in case it needs altering....always handy to have the details to hand....x

Let her worry about that lol
When my daughter got married, I was having my chemo treatment, so she went shopping for my outfit, apart from the hat and shoes.
Easy day for me lol
It will all work out.

Carol, hope the sun shines on Saturday for the wedding
