I dont know if anyone can help me?
I wonder if anyone could do a look up for me please.
I am looking for the death of Leonard Charles Thomas who I think died in the 1940s also his wife Florence she died some years after him.
They had no children.
They lived at 113 Saltwell Road Benshaam Gateshead.
i have been trying to track down there life in Gateshead.

You seem to have triple clicked and posted this request twice. Usually Find ancestors is the right board for look ups as the general board moves very quickly and isn't necessarily for family look ups. as the request can quickly drop off the page.

Suggest you delete the other two threads and i will take a look for the death .

When was Leonard born as its not an uncommon name.

I'm not sure but I have found a Leonard Thomas married to Florence Graham
in Gateshead , Apr-June 1926.
Leonard Thomas born Sunderland 1903 (father -Leonard, mother- Elizabeth) !!!!!
Florence Graham born Gateshead 1904 (lived at 63 Vine Street Gateshead)!!!!!

I forgot to ass Leonard Charles Thomas was born 1901 In Wellington Shropshire. His parents were Joseph Thomas and Mary Thomas nee Lloyd. and all as I know he married Auntie Flo who used to come to Wellington and bring her neice with her as they had no children of their own

Not finding a death for the 1940,s for a 1901 birth,

Wouldn't he have been in the Forces tho as it was WW2??

I had the same problem getting back to my message.
I do not believe he was in the forces, but i will check the records.
it was my great Aunt Edns that told me he died in the 40s in Gateshead, and that after his death she came to Shropshire more.

Do you know what sort of work he did which brought him to Bensham.

I dont know what he did in his early years. apparently in later years he was either a pawn broker or a debt collector.

Just wondering about this one. I think but not sure if he died in one of the Newcastle hospitals his death would be registered in that area.
