Out this morning wandering round the Range looking at craft stuff and we saw the Military wives CD, hummed and Ahed over it then decided to buy it and it is lovely. I hadn't realised that it consisted of so many military wives choirs that have now formed.
Chivenor,
Plymouth
Portsmouth
Catterick
Lympstone

The soloists are Nicky Scott and Sam both from Chivenor and the original programme and Emily Shipman from Plymouth.. And the Portsmouth choir was recorded in the chapel of H.M.S. Collingwood Fareham. Collingwood was where my OH was when I met him and I have been in that chapel so that makes it a bit more special. :-)

That was nice Ann, I will look out for it. We both watched the programme, as we have all Gareth's Choirs, and weeped on Rememberence Day from the Royal Albert Hall. Just pure magic. Proper singing, as we know it.

Trying to kill 2 birds with one stone here.

Can I just say that, those of you that are fortunate in having a Range and/or Hobbycraft, do not know how luck you are. We have nothing like those around here. We are bereft, I say, bereft. So I hope you make the most of them both.

Oh I do and Dunelm too which is on the same route.

Back to the choir I'd have trouble picking a favourite from it but the hairs on the back of my neck rose when they sang 'On my Own' from Les Miserables, and Eternal Father was lovely too.

I will definitely try to get a copy.

I am jealous that you have access to those shops LOLOL, but I do have access to Dunelm.

LOL!, I thought you'd been strolling round your private estate Ann! :-D :-D :-D I didn't know the Range was a shop!
We have Hobbycraft but not easy to get to by bus - I have discovered a good wool and trimmings shop that is accessible though :-D

Lucky you Island. I have to travel to Derby, about 13 miles, and trawl round SEVERAL shops to get my supplies.

I am so jealous Ann I would looooove to be wandering round the Range. I have been in the one in Norwich which is really big though they probably all are.

Dawnie I am sure he'd have to serve you if you went into the cafe. Their cafe's tend to be a lot cheaper than other places, we always go for coffee if we are near the shop.

I bought the same cd the other week when we popped into Homebase, it was 15% off day or something and I had a further discount voucher to use too so got a plant reduced and a little off the cd too. It's really lovely, I play it while I am here on the computer.

Wendy, didn't know you had links to Norwich?

Morning Spruce, thank you so much for the info on the Range opening in Chesterfield.
I use Derby as I pass through going up and down to the hospital regularly, and it is to the south of me.
But, but, if I go down to my next township, I can easily get on a train, to Chesterfield, which is only two stops up the line.
I keep thinking of doing this one day, and carrying on to Sheffield and having a day out with Annina of Sheffield.
Thanks for the information.

Wendy maybe you'll find one when here in July. And we were in Homebase which doesn't compare to that wonderful DIY store of your so you can't win them all. Although at least we could understand what we were looking for without having to find an interpreter Lol!
