WHY DO I EXPERIENCE THIS

Recently had some photo's sent to me as a download in an e-mail. Some I was able to download successfully, but a couple I couldn't. When I questioned this, I was told that it might be because the photo was taken with a phone camera.
Is this correct.

Many Thanks

Kay, I understand what you are saying. But, when I tried that, I let the process run it's course, and after 10 mins, it still hadn't completed the job, if I make sense.

Kay, when I get as far as pressing the save button, a little document wallet appears in the box on the screen, with sheets of paper popping over to the other side. This just carries on, and hadn't stopped after 10.mins.

Do you get an instruction to download rather than 'view' Julia. If so press download then if a dialogue box comes up with 'browse' look for whatever you usually put your photos in. Strangely I sometimes have a problem with photos my sister sends and sometimes not, I think it depends how she sends them. I get invalid picture. However this time I browsed and clicked on windows viewer I think, sister said open with picture viewer so you could try that.

Ann, thans for answering. I get an oblong box appear on the screen. It has three options on it. 'OPEN', 'SAVE' 'CANCEL' . I press SAVE, and a document wallet appears in the box, showing papers transfering across the box. Usually when this process is complete, a little pinging noise is made, to tell you that the process has been completed. When I tried to do this, after 10 mins., the process was still on going.
Hope this makes sense.

How many photos were sent? Perhaps there were too many, or their total size (MBs) was too great? My b-i-l sometimes sends things with lots of pictures and I can never view them all. As they are not family pics I dont bother about it though.

Huia.

To explain what I said about total size, some servers wont send more than a certain number of MBs as attachments in one email, I think.

Julia, try pressing open instead of save. You should then get the option of what programme to open it with. Try 'pictures' or microsoft view or picture viewer.
