Here is a gift for the sanctimonious!

Yes,I know what I did was illegal and dangerous and I should not have done it but I got away with it.

Last night, when I was taking our mate home, my cat jumped in the car. So I took him with us.

Yes,I know it is a dangerous thing to do but I know he is not nervous in the car and he does pretty much what I want.On the way back he lay on the floor and was purring loudly when the engine was turned off.

At least the cat wanted to be there!
Probably a lot less dangerous than manhandling a cat, that's getting more and more cross into a travelling basket, only to realise half way into your journey to the vets, the (by now) furous creature has chewed his way out and is intent on revenge/escape :-0

At least the cat wanted to be there.?????????
I only wanted to make a quick call on my mobile phone,
The cat should have been removed from the car straight away.

I really can't deny this,he should have been. I was wrong and it was illegal.

I doubt I will ever do it again and will certainly never travel at speed with the cat clamped to my ear.

I used to take my cat loose in the car all the time, only objected when he used his litter tray,
Now I have dogs again and I do legal things like harness them in seat belts.....More than most people do. ,,but then I smoke in the car, use a mobile phone .oh hang on I don“t do the driving!

I think it is driving without due care and attention because the cat could be anywhere in the car and distract the driver.

Kay????

Kay???? Report 5 Jul 2012 20:07

could have been worse and had an expert driver sitting in the back...

now if that wouldnt distract you nuffin will........

;-) ;-) ;-) :-D

I didn't know it was illegal. I don't think its even illegal to have a big dog on the back seat. When I had cats and went to the vets and moved houses they were always just put in the car. I can't imagine trying to get either one of them into a carrier.

I won't tell if you don't.

You should be banned from driving, Sharron.
