I have to admit to not putting petrol in my car, although I have in the past.
Yes, of course I appreciate having him, love him to bits, even after crawling in the wheelie bin. And he does the ironing but doesn't, cook unless it is an occasional fry up.

I think my OH is a secret twin of frank spencer, the times i have to tell him to look where he is walking etc and D I Y damage it yourself, and now he has murded my garden, a child would have known better i swear. :-0

OH is great at re-cycling almost to the point of obsession, I don't have a clue. but minus he has never cooked a meal in 46 yrs.

Our main problem (shame on us) is that we are both not the tidiest of creatures - although he perhaps has the edge on me.

Mine does HIS own Ironing !!

But Sewing is my job.....plus cooking and making beds, course I'm always right when it comes to choosing Decor LOL .....other wise left to hubby we would be living in a museum .

I could have been reading about myself - My OH sees to the recycling, bins, putting petrol in the cars, etc - he has always done.

Whereas he would never iron, sew on a button, etc. etc. We each have chores we haved always done and just get on with it. Plus, I am still working full time and he is on a 3 day week.

Each to his own I say. It works well for us (and has done for 36 years).

well all I can add to this is just be grateful you still have your OH - at whatever age :-)

I haven't a clue where anything goes..... or in what bin....... :-S

I am spoilt rotten by HO as he has always put the rubbish out for the dustmen and even the Day of collection I really cant be honest about .
The only task I do know is when I get papers or any other type of paper I put it in the corner of my kitchen in a box and Hubby disposes of it .
Now how sad is that ?

But I guess I would have to ring my council for info for days of collection ,for when ever the time comes.... :-(

MY OH is having difficulties at the moment. His memory buds are letting him down big time.

A recent trip to the memory clinic had him scoring 21 out of 30!!! but this was better than his clinic appointment which was 15 out of 30!

He can still function OK on personal hygiene and his self appointed dishwasher monitor and recycling so l et him get on wit what he able to do.

Yep I do sometimes query what he says and say NOOOO thats not right but really its doing things at his pace

It's difficult when the original wheelie bin is Green, and then you get given a bin for recycling, which is Black.

So the products for 'green' recycling goes into the Black bin, and the landfill goes into the Green.

Confused? You bet :-S

Mine has a habit of not engaging his brain when doing something, thinking of something else at the time. Today I went to put a bag in the landfill (green) wheely bin and spotted a bottle, thinking he'd found it when tidying the garage - which he had been doing - I pulled it out, then realised there were newspapers, glass bottles, tins etc. He'd put the contents of the recycling crate into the landfill bin. After laying it on its side and crawling in to retrieve as much as I could I was a)not amused and b) grateful that food scraps go in a separate bin. When I told him, talk about stating the obvious.
"Oh I must have put it in the wrong bin by mistake". Well yes I realise that :-D

Good job I love him to bits.
