Compatibility View has nothing to do with how up to date your PC or browser are

The Compatibility View feature follows a set of rules to display "content correctly", without any user (or IT administrator) action needed whenever possible. Compatibility View enables developers to instruct the browser which rendering engine to use and enables users to override the browser’s choice and switch modes.

Glad I've still got my emoticons , cos that explanation went well over my head Roy ;-)....
You know how to sort them tho .
Son just sorted a printing error for me, he prefers to use the keyboard than the mouse to sort things out, whilst I am a total dimwit on keyboard functions.

OK $parkling $andie, I will forget the explanation on why?

Here is just How to change compatibility view

two ways to switch to compatibility view with Internet explorer

1, go to tools then click on compatibility view

2, at the top where your address bar is, far right of the address bar their are 3 icons one is a picture of what looks like a piece of paper torn in half, click on that

Mmm ..Roy ~~~
I think you said that on another thread so I tried it ( tho I still have my emoticions ).. I don't have an option under Tools of 'compatibility view'. No probs tho.

Just as well we have a willing personal advisor on the boards , not on GR staff :-)

Perhaps you could apply for such a position for a fee of course ;-)

I have no emoticons and the explanation from GR to fix it went right over my head - I'm a technophobe - so no emoticons for me!! I do however, still have emotions!!
