In a few weeks TV reception will change to digital for ever.

I haven't a clue as to how to do the change over. Can any one please help?

David YOU dont have to do anything......for freeview..all you need is a tv capable of recieving digital dignals, or a set top box. if your present tv signal is good,
chances are you wont need to change aerials.
as was suggested google for info...........put "freeview tv" into a search engine.......

you could of course go satellite or cable

Try this site it explains everything about Digital tv switchover.
Presume you live in the North East as their change over is September.

Been digital for a while now, it's c**p, bit of heavy rain & no signal or it freezes & pixilates, progress !! i don't think so.

Thank you for that post McB

I'd known for a long time we'd been getting some reception in analogue and some in digital.

Sometimes, for no apparent reason the screen freezes and pililates.

I'd thought it was interference from the washing machine or the regenerator, both of which are new or a passing car..

So the signals the problem? :-S

Before our area went digital we used to get pixillation sometimes when a certain car or a moped went up the road. Since the conversion it has been fine.

My television and a combined DVD / video player are only 4 years old.

I'm not cable or any of that,my signal comes from the nearest transmitter to my aeriel

David - if you are in the North East - This week's Northumberland Gazette has a four-page pull-out telling us exactly what we should do

Wales has been digital for some time , tho where we live we can only get , I think about 16 channels :-( out of up to 50 TV channels,

Thank goodness for Sky ..... tho I like documentaries, which are often on mainstream channels which we get.

All this pixillating,I thought it might be due to a rogue remote control.

well they came out this morning
i thought they were going to fix ours

but no they came assessed the site for them to come back and do it later
apparently the last engineer said it couldn't be done

so by the time they come back it will of taken 5 visits to get it done
