http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2213299/Insensitive-bordering-cruel-Sky-News-presenter-Kay-Burley-slammed-breaking-news-April-Jones-murder-live-air.html

She has always been the worst presenter, gleeful during bad news.

I hope she gets what she deserves...................a large boot to her rear and directions to the nearest job centre.

I watched it on youtube, open mouthed at such crass, cruel, and ill-timed questioning... I'd sack her straight away, or at very least demote her to covering flower shows and the like.

Have flicked between Sky and BBC this week and have found the BBC to be exemplary. Jamie Owen, Rhun ap Iorwerth - every one of them has been so good. Sky has annoyed me almost every time I have flicked across.

I suppose Kay and the others (who are no better) are under such pressure from bosses to be sensational :-( :-( If only she could have got the man to collapse and the woman to cry uncontrollably, she would have got a massive pay rise probably

She had two attempts at pronouncing Machynlleth both of which were insulting then blatantly avoided mentioning it at all. It took Jeremy Thompson 3 days to say it vaguely right.

Bloody disrespectful to the family and town IMO. Doesn't take a lot of effort to ask how it is pronounced. Even then if you are a complete linguistic idiot you write it down phonetically.

Couldn't agree more about the prununctiation of Machynlleth ..... it's not even difficult to pronounce !!

I am a Scouser living in Wales and I am ashamed to say I have never been able to learn Welsh but I have made the effort to at least pronounce first names and places correctly.

Hope she never has to go to Lanfair PG :-0 ;-)

Libby, hope they never have to pronounce one of my house names:

Bwlchyllan. Short but you'd be surprised at some attempts...lolol

Her Wiki page has been updated already to reflect today's despicable piece of presenting.

Are you sure the actual local man you are all referring too isnt female ?

Am so relieved someone has said that about pronunciation. I feared I would get sandblasted if I as much as mentioned it.

Jamie Owen is an English speaker, and he does struggle a lot with the double "ell" but he always makes a passable effort at it. And he has been absolutely brilliant all week. I have not yet heard one person on Sky get anywhere near a decent attempt to say Machynlleth and it irritates me so much. It makes me wonder if they would say Lan-ellie if they were reading out the rugby results.

They have lived in the town for 4 days and none of them can say where they are. And I suppose Bryn-ee-Gog is better than my sat nav which would say Bryn-why-Gog.

Where will the crack Sky team go next? Will it be Edin-berg, or Middles- bruff, or Woor-wick?? :-P :-P
