The old man is downstairs coughing and wretching in a most alarming way and I am up here ignoring it.

On the night of the 22nd he will be vomiting.

At 12.30 on the 23rd the ambulance will come.

Later that day he will come home all smiles and full of what he did at the hospital.

Been there before, more than once. It sounds impressive but he doesn't expect sympathy and it would only make it worse.

Are you asking me for a hug, Sharron, because I'll give it if you want?

Runs away because I'm a bit scared of Sharron ;-)

He is only going for his pre-operation assesment next week.

We will go through it all again come the time he has the cataracts done.

maggiewinchester Report 20 Oct 2012 00:24

Oh- he's an attention seeking cougher & retcher :-D

Vast sympathy for you, Sharron - very unpleasant

I'm an 'I'm stressed and about to vomit' cougher & retcher - living alone, no amount of coughing & retching gets attention.

.........haven't tried it at work.......yet!! :-D

Sharron Report 20 Oct 2012 00:38

No, he is not after attention. He is just going through the worst case scenario in his head.

We are talking about the man who thought we could be evicted for asking for a bigger wheelie bin. was worried sick when I had a digger in to get rid of the bay tree he had planted that became a ridiculous size.

You can be sure there is going to be a big saw to take off the top of his head in hospital and they will make him come back home on his own after. They will certainly runout of anaethetic before it is his turn and probably have his leg off while they are at it.

War will be declared because of this and he will be called up to join the wheelchair corp AND it will all be my fault!

Sharron, that is so sad for your dad, and such an awful situation for you.

The overgrown bay tree I can understand - I've got one of those :-|

Sharron Report 20 Oct 2012 16:56

His mate came but he wouldn't go out.

I rung the out of hours doctor who asked all the relevant questions and says he can't see the symptoms of anything but agrees with me that it is nerves.

He doesn't seem to be coughing now.
