I saw this today and thought it was worth sharing:

COUNT MY BLESSINGS.

When I count my blessings, my problems shrink and soon I forget they exist.

When I count my problems, my blessings shrink and I forget they are there.

People who are experts at counting their problems can't see the blessings that surround them on every side.

It's all about focus.

I must count my blessings or my blessings will not count.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Edit: I've got quite a lot of problems, but I know I have far more blessings and am grateful. :-D :-D
Cynthia... Thanks for this
.. mine is a lesson that took a long time to learn ..
Worrying about the things you cannot change results in nothing .
working on the things you can change , no matter how small will make you a happier person
Such lovely thoughts, Cynthia and Neubie :-D :-D
And how I love your avatar, Cynthia. I count my blessings every time I think of these youngsters prepared to lay down lives for us.
Now....this is weird. I started a thread about fav poems, and this was one I didn’t post
When upon life’s billows you are tempest tossed,
When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost,
Count your many blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.
Refrain
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your blessings, see what God hath done!
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.
Are you ever burdened with a load of care?
Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear?
Count your many blessings, every doubt will fly,
And you will keep singing as the days go by.
Refrain
When you look at others with their lands and gold,
Think that Christ has promised you His wealth untold;
Count your many blessings. Wealth can never buy
Your reward in heaven, nor your home on high.
Refrain
So, amid the conflict whether great or small,
Do not be disheartened, God is over all;
Count your many blessings, angels will attend,
Help and comfort give you to your journey’s end.
Refrain
I have only to look into the little faces of my grandchildren to realise that my blessings far outweigh my problems.
So nice to think positively. I open the curtains every day and cannot believe I am so lucky. Weather poor today, but can still look at the hills above my valley with the Brecon Beacons beyond. The full waterfall tumbling down off the mountain.
Yesterday (Saturday) sunny and crisp and clear as a bell and I looked down at the Bristol Channel about 20 miles away (Porthcawl area) with Somerset behind seemingly close enough to touch and bathed in sunshine.
I have enough money for first time for over a decade. I feel healthier than I have for many years. I have a beautiful wife and lovely, achieving and loving children. I get huge satisfaction out of everything I do, whether paid or unpaid..
I seem to have a permanent smile on my face these days. And I do enjoy chatting on these threads.
Just hope old age is for many happy years yet.
When I'm worried and I can't sleep
I count my blessings instead of sheep
And I fall asleep counting my blessings
When my bankroll is getting small
I think of when I had none at all
And I fall asleep counting my blessings
I think about a nursery and I picture curly heads
And one by one I count them as they slumber in their beds
If you're worried and you can't sleep
Just count your blessings instead of sheep
And you'll fall asleep counting your blessings
I think about a nursery and I picture curly heads
And one by one I count them as they slumber in their beds
If you're worried and you can't sleep
Just count your blessings instead of sheep
And you'll fall asleep counting your blessings
