with BT, why oh why can I not get someone to speak to me
after all they are a telephone service.

Have tried all the numbers to ring that they tell me to for help
and not a human voice in sight all recorded, all giving out the
same messages. Is this because I pay by direct debit, bet if
my bill wasn't paid they would be in touch with me.

Emma

All help and suggestions gratefully received.

Thanks Karen, what really got up my nose is the
fact that they are to up my monthly debit payments
without my agreeing to this, thought that would be
illegal.

Emma. When you ring, ask for SALES they will be onto you like a shot. Then tell them how long you have been trying to get through, and you are now thinking of changing providers. :-D

I left BT some time ago - I had had enough.

Went through the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) to stop cold calling and guess who I kept getting cold calls from - Yes you guessed it BT.

A nigthmare.

I would suggest you do not follow the instructions when you call enter in all sorts of odd numbers etc., and see if they put you through to their 'fraud' dept. I find that sort of thing often works for me when I want to speak to a real person..... ;-)

Paula went through sales and got someone to
speak to after 20mins. Informed them that it was
illegal to help themselves to more money from my
bank without my permission.

To cut a long story short all sorted gave them
permission to up my debit by £8 not by £23 as
they were going to and in future to contact me
if they wanted to do this at any time. Lady said
she would see to it, now I have number and name
of this person will keep this info just in case.

Thanks to all once again for help and sharing your
experiences of same. OH making me a cuppa so me
blood pressure can calm down :-) :-)

Glad you are sorted Emma.

We have BT at the apartment along with the crap BT Vision can't wait until we leave here for the house and we tell them to stuff it. Had so many arguments about the vision box and they DO NOT LISTEN.

We have Sky everything at the house and have no problems. At least when you phone them you get someone in the UK!!
