I am not sure, have not seen anything yet about the horse. I hope the horse is ok and also that the jockey recovers fully.

The horse is fine.....jockey is conscious and talking, in a stable condition.

He was airlifted to Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle where his condition is stable but not life threatening. He is feeling rather sore.
The horse is OK. (from local news)

thanks mersey and geordiepride...

i know they put the screens up when a horse is down am so glad all is ok... i was a racecouse one day when a horse fell and a p mccoy was riding him.. the screens were up for about 20 mins... horse and rider all ok but no annoucement was made regarding the horse.. the horse was trained by nicky henderson... i actually asked him how his horse was to find out.....

Hope the jockey makes a good recovery, what a sad thing to happen the day after his success in the National. He admitted he hadn't slept through excitement so maybe he was too tired to concentrate on the ride and made an error of judgement.
