Method 1:

http://www.epubsoft.com/transfer-kindle-books-to-another-kindle-or-other-devices.html

but if a book is registered to an account then the other Kindle must be using the same account.

Level: one cup of tea

Method 2:

dump the installed software and just install a standard version of Android.
Level: one jar of strong instant coffee ; may involve yr neighbourhood geek
After doing this you can still access yr Kindle account and use registered books.

I've been thinking that maybe our son knows how.
Have to wait till next week till he gets home from
Laos.
Hate when something is in the back of my mind and

Yes Ann, OH looked and can do it through laptop but I
was sure he did it somehow from his kindle to mine.

Was there a thread explaining how to transfer a book
from one kindle to another?

OH has transferred books to my kindle before but can't
remember how he did it, I was sure I had written it down
somewhere but can't find it.
