I live in the middle of London and I have not heard much in the way of noise today.

I was probably the one that made the most noise when I mowed ( what I laughing call ) the lawn earlier. :-D

I have only heard planes flying over today and the sound of a random TV/radio at one time.

Is everybody asleep or have they escaped to the coast for the day I wonder, oh well peace and quiet is good :-D

All at the Coast Jo, a lot of festivals by the sea start this weekend, roads are packed, hence we went Thursday, beach practically to ourselves :-D

Also, don't forget, a lot of sports are on today, Wimbledon, Rugy, Grand Prix practice and Athletics, by the smell of the air in these parts, most are having a BBQ with there feet up and either watching or listening to the sports. It's also very quiet here luvverly jubbly :-D

Been very quiet where I am as well Jo, think I made most noise when I had a silly little accident!! (Well you would say flip wouldn't you?)

I was making a strawberry milk shake using a hand blender and the ice cream had stuck in a blob in the blades so I just went to hook it out (as you do) - trouble is my right hand didn't know what my left was doing and accidentally pressed the on button. :-0 My finger is cut (shredded even lol) over the tip and down middle of nail.:-(

I did drink the shake (very nice it was too), and any bits of nail were ground up small and the strawberry disguised any blood :-D :-D

Enjoy the peace while it lasts :-)

Oh dear Lindi, could have been nasty :-(

Never mind more protein in your shake :-D

Hope it heals up soon. :-)

I'll tell you where they were. Over Parliament Hill and Hampstead Heath.

There was pasty white bodies everywhere.

I reckon there will be some burnt bodies tonight.

I was very sensible and smothered myself in Factor 30, and walked in the shade quite a bit.

I have a glow about me now, and thank goodness I did not stay out longer!

:-D MotownGal,

Only been in my garden today , but in and out like the proverbial as the sun was so fierce. :-D

Once I had finished all my chores out there, up went my brolly and I sat and enjoyed a cool drink. Not much chance of getting burnt as I was suitably clad in Jeggings and a long sleeve top. :-D

Hi Jo,

I did wear a skirt and top, but it was really fierce as you say. No breeze at all.

There were a couple of girls walking in front of us, already red, and they were positively shiny with what looked like olive oil!!!!!

I don't envy them at about 10pm tonight, when their skin starts to heat up and feel tight!

:-( :-( :-( :-(

I didn't feel too good after being out in the sun all day :-( But, after drinking 4 pints of pineapple juice and a gallon of orange juice I'm now as high as a kite and looking like an orange :-)

It's throbbing like mad Nolls :-(
Just taken some painkillers, and hopefully it will feel better tomorrow.
To be honest I was just glad the finger was still all there, albeit a tad shredded lol. Silly me ;-)
