and before any one says try this ,Yes I have tried everything to pack up the evil little cancer sticks up (as my Dad called them) and believe me if anybody could have made me pack it in, it was my Dad (and he nearly succeeded). But not quite because I still smoke 20 a day (on a bad day) 10 or less on a good one - |

Sorry then for my post.. Personally I don't want to pack it in as I enjoy it. Just tone them down a bit |

My doctor has been nagging me for years to cut down my smoking, I was a 60 a day man, at the beginning of June this year I decided to give e-cigarettes a try and I have now got my ordinary ciggies down to 5 a day. |

There's only one way to stop smoking and that is to not smoke. |

I think I could give up smoking just like that if I wanted to...but if I didn't smoke I would get no exercise as I need to go sort of outside to have one. (kitchen diner window) |

Scozz, there is nothing worse than an ex smoker. My OH gave up in 1994 and now can smell a smoker when they walk past him on the bus. (As can I but I have always, barring a few as a teenager) been a non smoker. Certainly never took the smoke into my lungs. |

My SIL gave up smoking the hard way . She was ill and not knowing why went to the docs several times and was given antibiotics that didnt help Eventually her doc decided to send her for Xrays and they came back with an abnormality on her chest but by that time she was having problems breathing too. |
