I am sure your husband is watching over the family Brenda and making sure these little ones continue the name, and enrich the family in every way.

Enjoy them all when you can, I know some are far away.

Love

My late husband would have been so pleased. He died 2 years ago,and the baby was born exactly the date of OHs funeral 2 years ago.

We have a very distinctive surname and the baby is the only male to carry on the name as the other son only has a girl and no more expected there.
It's my daughter who has been the very prolific one.
Thank you all for your thoughts and good wishes.

How lovely Brenda, you must be relieved and pleased.

He is a big baby, poor Mum, hope she recovers well and Dad recovers from the shock of being an older Dad lol

We have another baby girl expected in o.h.'s family in January but as she will be half American and born in N.Y. we aren't likely to see much of her.

My son's gf's brother of 18 has just announced he is to be a Dad next year too.

My son's gf and her little boy are moving in with my son soon (they have had to divide the lounge up to make a second bedroom - approved by the Housing Association as no exchanges available) so I wait with bated breath for them to settle in and hope it works out. You know the old saying, new house, new baby, well I am crossing my fingers lol

Best of luck to all your family Brenda,

Lizxx

What a whopper. Hope mother and baby are doing well. And dad must be over the moon - something he probably thought might not happen to him at his age.

Another addition to my family arrived on Saturday night.

My stepson who remarried 3 years ago has become a father for the first time at age 55....his wife only in 30s
Baby was due on 17th Aug and we had been waiting for news.
Thurs morning his wife was induced..no news..
Getting a bit worried when still hadn't heard anything on Saturday.
She had a good pregnancy, but a very long labour with all the things to help pain, including epidural...but eventually had to have a c section.
Size of baby...9lb14oz.
This is no 9 grandchild and Im expecting no 6 great grandchild this month....getting expensive!!,,but nice to carry on with the family tree.
