Small meals

When he does deign to eat at home, Fred rolls into the kitchen when the meal is being dished up to remind us that he would like a small meal.

He has probably read somewhere that the elderly have small appetites.

Yesterday he had a special breakfast at the café. This was so small as to be hardly visible (I don't think!)

One egg, one sausage, two hash browns, one large rasher, a slice of toast and three grilled tomatoes( yes three tomatoes, six halves, now that with the toast would constitute a breakfast to me!) a cup of baked beans, a big pile of mushrooms and a mug of tea.

He devoured the lot!

Poor old chap, barely eats enough to stay alive!

Obviously he did not have room for a sausage <3 <3

He didn't leave the sausage.

Perish the thought.

You tuck in Fred - it's terrible that you need to go to the cafe to satisfy your appetite :-D :-D :-D

Is it because we give him small meals?

On a serious note, one thing I am sure of Sharron is that - there is no way he is not well fed at home <3

He would be better fed if he didn't demand small portions!

He's a growing boy! Hollow legs?

:-D

Forget what the dieticians say...... at Fred's age he should eat what he wants!

:-D

And matching head!

If I served him up a meal the size of that breakfast he would do the smacked bottom face whilst hovering his fork over it until I removed some.

Maybe he has tried that one in the café and they have ignored him.

Sharron..... have you thought about working in the cafe? :-D

The size of their meals I don't think I could carry the plates.

I'm feeding him myself all day today.

Better get stuck in to the preparations. Plenty to do!
