I wear a bracelet it has an engraved tag with medical conditions & allergies on it. I've worn one for over 40 years, updated when needed.

I wore the basic bracelet & tag, the bracelet broke, my Mum gave me her old one, which had an expanda-band.

In the mail this week, I received a booklet showing the range of bracelets, dog-tags & necklaces.

The original basic bracelet costs $40Au.

There is a range of plain & fancy (styles and PRICES!), some with Swarovski "elements", right up to a 9ct gold bracelet costing $2,650Au !!!

I wear gold jewellery, silver gets "lost" on my skin tone. I prefer wearing the plain "silver" tone bracelet, because it looks different to anything else I'm wearing.

If I'm going to spent $2,650 on jewellery, it wouldn't be on a fancy thing with my medical conditons on it :-0

Silver gets lost :-D :-D My OH claims she gets all blotchy if she doesn't wear precious metal next to her skin. Antique rose gold favours her skin tone.

You deserve something in gold with sparkly Swarovski elements. Treat yourself. Make a bold statement. Draw attention to your medical conditions. Everybody else does. My dandruff sits proudly on my shoulders for world to admire.

My daughter also bought herself a basic medical alert bracelet.
She has type1 diabetes and had it engraved with her name, dob ect

After a few weeks, it left a nice green mark around her wrist.
She now wears the Diabtes UK blue rubber band instead.

I like the silver diabetes ribbon necklace with the Swarovski crystal red blood spot!

They also make a "sport" braclet, fabric....... can't imagine how that would work if someone goes surfing or swimming! I hope it's shrink-proof.

My first bracelet was the cheapest, I had to get the links soldered, because they kept catching on my clothes!

John ~ I have very fussy ears, I can't wear anything but gold ear-rings! I have pierced ears....... if I wear silver my ears look like I've been playing rugby, I get two cauliflowers!

Men are attracted to ladies with cauliflower ears - and women are in awe of them because they look like rugby players, Scozz.

But got message. You want 18 ct gold (24 too soft) with a few gems studded to catch the eye (preferably diamonds but Swarowski will do). Having a whip round and seen something appropriate on the Groupon site that is always "popping up" when I am on Genes.

John........ I'm very posh, I have 2 piercings in each ear, and a diamond stud for them all :-D

It has to be a special occasion for me to wear any ear-rings (other than the sleepers) because arthritis in my hands makes it awkward...... takes about half an hour to put on ear-rings........ about the same time I take to dry my mop of curly hair and trowel on the makeup.

I know a few rugby (union) players....... none of them have cauliflower ears, or are attracted to ladies with cauliflower ears. But most of the players I know are Scottish..... is it a Welsh thing? :-D

I do know some Aussie players, they have cauli ears, mashed noses, not pretty :-)
