The community nurse was coming today to take some blood from Fred. I knew she would be coming but not when.

As she was coming down the road she met Fred going the other way to get off down the café for his lunch.

She stopped and told him to carry on and that she would come back later, which she did once he had dined and returned for his afternoon rest ( alright for some!)

I am really very grateful to the local medical professionals, even the one I offended when I sent Fred into the medical centre on sausage sandwich day. They are accommodating with my unconventional (slap-dash) methods of care.

Last time I rang the surgery I was put straight through to a doctor without having to wait for an appointment.

Yes I think you could say I am very pleased.

Sharron, it sounds like the staff know you.......... and know you care for and about Fred, as you said in a previous post, you care (not as a professional carer!) not control.

They know you don't mess around!

The important thing is that Fred is happy.

But..!! You must look after yourself too.
