	as certain nationalities write the day the wrong way round, its claimed that today is Pi day 3.14 next year it could be, at one minute to two// 3.1415159........

	Next year doesn't work as the approximation for pi is 3.14159265359. Unless you take nine o'clock as the datum.

	Friday is Pi day :-) There's a guy on our local radio station who always says friday is pie day. Every friday he talks about a different pie.

	yeah, but its close.......!! 22/7ths always worked for me or measure the diameter of a coil of cable and times it by three was good enough!!!!f

	22 divided by 7 doesn't give pi If you divide 22 by 7 you get 3.142857142857142 etc etc (a repeating sequence) Whereas pi is 3.14159265358979323846 etc etc It is an irrational number which means that however many decimal places you calculate it to, it never forms a repeating pattern. I'll take my geek hat off now
