Yes, it is possible if they want to be found. If you contact the adoption section of Social Services they can use an intermediary to make contact with the adopted person if he/she is a sibling or half-sibling. If they are successful - and the adopted person wishes it - they can put you in contact. I've recently helped a friend with this and his adopted half-sibling has made contact with him. They met recently and are delighted to be in touch. Private agencies will also do it but the price is extortionate. We were quoted £780. |
