It was "great dollops of Fucibert cream" that Rollo suggested. Not little tubes - but dollops.

:-D

Welcome back DIZZI, once again you seem to have been through the wringer, I hope you will soon be feeling better.

With regards to Fucibert cream, following my husbands death my eczema went haywire. I saw the consultant at the hospital who prescribed a short course of this cream. It is my understanding that this can only be on prescription and long term use is not recommended.

What is it used for?

Eczema or dermatitis that is also infected with bacteria sensitive to fusidic acid.

Fucibet cream should be applied thinly to the affected areas of skin once or twice a day, as directed and instructed as this may cause the thinning of the skin and cause it to become over-sensitive or allergic to the medicine.

Take care DIZZI <3

Wend Report 19 Mar 2014 10:18

Welcome home Dizzi, but please be a good girl and take great care of yourself. Don't get impatient and try to rest as much as possible. If you fancy a bacon sandwich, get OH to make it. Spring is here and we all want you well again and able to get outside and enjoy the sunshine, which you love and always does you good. Then, when you're better, you'll be able to get down to Hastings and I can come over to see you (if you'd like me to!) :-D

John - I'm sure the medics will decide whether Dizzi is prescribed Fucibet cream. I am using that at the moment, but for a comparably minor skin problem. Dizzi's is far more serious.

It is quite flattering that posters feel free to criticise my mention of Fucibert cream.

I was simply passing on some advice from another poster, which nobody had commented on. Poor chap was totally ignored. Perhaps purposely, I don't know.

Possibly it was bad advice. But I am sure he has some knowledge personally of huge dollops of Fucibert applied. He claimed it had worked really well and was trying to be helpful.

And probably a lot of treatments are wrongly administered or not even administered at all for NHS budgeting reasons. So I think we need to have open minds on treatments. Anyway, leeches are.........

Don't flatter yourself John this was not a criticism of you or anyone else. I was just pointing our the facts that were given to me and the information on the leaflet accompanying the cream I was prescribed. As Wend rightly said DIZZi will be better advised by her medical team.
