In those days, the AA didn't change tyres!

Nobody stopped to help me either, but I got a lot of honking (but that may have been geese).

That's how I wrecked my shoes! No way could I move the wheel nuts by hand, so I put my foot on that tool thingy........ ok, I don't know tools either! It was a long time ago, I think I weighed about 54 Kg (a VERY long time ago).

And I still don't know the name of that tool thingy. Too big to be called a spanner.

Many years ago on the way to Orford Ness, I came across a mini traveller (Ithink it was)that had a flat tyre, no way would she have been able to release the wheel nuts with the stoopid little bent bit of iron spanner that was part of the toolkit!!

as a Fork lift engineer I had the right bit of kit....

we got a puncher at Redcar our local seaside
Stray and I where going to try to fix it
but where struggling to get the wheel nuts off

and some kind gentleman came to our aid

Rumor has it that Ferrari had the whole team trained in Liverpool England but had to retrain them after a pit stop at last years Australian Grand Prix because they left there F1 car standing on bricks :-D

For me ,at my age ,and arthritis ,about an hour ,once i get the wheel ,up on a jack ,lol.in days of yesteryear ,ten minutes from getting out of the car. :-( Fred.

I'm not a petrol head....... but I've changed a tyre! By myself! Dunno if I got sweatier, cos it was a 42C day! I do know I wrecked my shoes.
