Hi Chris,

What a lovely idea for her wedding that she wants something of yours so you are there even only in spirit/the ring from the cake.

Has she thought of going on SKYPE for the wedding and if you both have Skype then you could watch all of the wedding and hopefully someone could tape the cermony for you.

I emailed her back and said I had a better idea.

She rang back whilst walking home and was delighted at the thought of something from our wedding - as I said she could keep it and perhaps it would be used again in another 25 years or so!!

OH is tickled pink by her idea. Bless her little cotton socks.

Her brother asked OH at the weekend if he could stay over some Friday night soon!!!!

As I have said before we are fortunate.

Such a shame you are unable to attend the wedding, maybe they could arrange for it to be Skyped or on Facetime for you :-)

My g.dau is marrying later this year in Cyprus - because of my health I cannot travel although OH will be there.

She has just emailed me asking if I could let her have a brooch she could attach to her flowers so she would have a bit of me with her!

Not one for brooches - only have three. However have had what I think is a flash of brilliance! We have had a very happy marriage and I have a wedding ring with dove on it from our wedding cake. I can tie a ribbon through it so it can slip on to her flowers.

We are so blessed with our two g.children.
