oooh Allan, that's awful.

My cousin's husband got snipped........ don't know why, but the area started to swell up... he spent about a week in bed (legs in the "frog" position) with ice packs. Poor man.

Ronald, I had a stent put in via the groin too. They had problems getting the plug out...... three doctors had a go.. at the same time! I had bruises in the shape of hands on my thigh for weeks.

No and No. Had stent op few years back. Some hours after the op, the "plug" in my groin artery (put there to seal the entry point) ) started to leak blood. Young nurse lifted corner of the large pressure dressing covering the "plug" and yanked. OUCH! Cannot understand anyone actually wanting to be "waxed"

If you really want to know what pain in that area feels like, go for a vasectomy and have the anaesthetic wear off halfway through the procedure.

By the time they had scraped me from the ceiling and re-administered the anaesthetic, I was a gibbering wreck.

It's no wonder that I was given a very large brandy after the procedure. The only time that I got anything decent from the NHS :-| :-|
