I haven't met any GR "friends" face to face, but still feel sadness and loss when regulars pass away. I do feel compassion and sorrow for those who are struggling one way or another and for those who are no longer with us. I especially feel sad for their family and close friends who knew them all so much better than we ever could.

I echo Liz's sentiments.....Bless them all.

I still have Deanna and Caz's numbers in my phone, just can't face deleting them somehow and I still write their names in my calender on their birthdays and the day we lost them etc. I was so pleased I managed to meet both of them face to face and also to know our lovely Marilyn and spend a little time with her.

I am sad for all the family and friends of those gone over the 9 years I have been using this site.

We have all shared happy times, sad times, tragedies and battles that weren't won and my life has been enriched by knowing these brave folks. Gone from our contacts but never forgotten.

Yes, we have loved and lost but look how many babies have been born to families on here, a whole new generation of little ones, some of whom are struggling or had to struggle to survive but all of them loved so very much and who will continue to add to their family trees.

Bless them all

I know what you all mean - some of my cyber friends on here mean as much to me as those who are my 'real' friends. The ones I've met through GR mean even more and I would be devastated if . . . well you know.

Marilyn and Jonesey - we shall miss you <3

Yes I met Daff many times and Jean once, sadly not Sandy or Marilyn and Jonesy, or any of those gone before and goodness aren't there sadly so many? I miss them all on here.

Thanks everyone.

I suppose that is the point i was trying to make.......

That we can feel just as emotionally connected with "Friends" we have never met before in "Cyber World" as we do with our friend in the "Real world"

I never thought I would get attached to people on GR,
but when Daff passed away I felt as though I had lost
a friend, never met her, there are several on here that
I have also never met but I look on them as my friends.

It is as hard losing cyber friends/friends made on here as it is losing friends in real life. I was devastated when Daff died, she was one of the best friends I ever had. And i too feel so sad for Marilyn and Jonesy's families and privileged to have 'known' them on here. <3
