I love him, I truly do but he has had psychological problems for a long long time :-(

In the last 2 years, since Mum's death, he has left the old boot he abandoned his family for, found a new love and been reborn :-)

He made contact with his eldest daughter 3 months ago and has slowly been building bridges with her on her terms.

Last night, we both went to visit him and his new lady and there he was back to the brother I know and love the best, she has got him the help and medication he needs and is a lovely person.

No more paranoia, fantasy life history or anything, just open and honest with the biggest smiles, empathy and genuine humility.

I am just so happy for them both and hope this is the start of a happy life for them both :-D :-D

He had evidently been sucked into the old boot's pose as, I think, are so many.

Seems that way, although he was always prone to paranoia which made life hell on wheels for us at times.

I won't drop my guard completely but so far so good.

He deserves to be happy and enjoy life to the full, we all make mistakes and sometimes it is so hard to turn themselves around and find that life is worth every second....Well done him, he is happy and you as a family are happy :-) <3

Good luck to your brother and his new lady it's wonderful what a loving caring relationship can do. I wish them, and you every happiness.

Well done to his lady friend and well done him for finding her and taking his medication I hope they will contin ue to be happy together and you will have many more years of you lovely brother. :-)

I have been livid with him, scared for and of him and despaired at times, but I have never stopped loving him.

As I said to him last night, they were his lost years that need to be left in the past where they belong.

I'm sure Mum and Dad are looking down with relief that we are back on track at last, it was so important to Dad especially that we all got on with each other :-D

How lovely that you have a chance of re-kindling ties and building more bridges with your brother and his new partner.

Having lost my only brother to cancer some years ago and missed him dearly, I am pleased that you have an opportunity to build more happy memories with your's.

Thanks for the good wishes everyone.........he now has a down to earth, honest lady in his life who will make sure he stays well this time :-)

How lovely Kitty to hear that your brother is well now. Well done to his new lady who is obviously doing a great job in helping him. You must feel so happy and relieved .
